Angstrom Electric is Hiring a Costing Analyst Near Pontiac, MI

Primary Job Functions

Responsible for all cost analysis activities as to support the Sales Team with customer RFQ’s (including design changes) and business cases. The Cost Analyst shall directly interface with a variety of departments, including, but not limited to: Engineering, Purchasing, Program Management, and Operations.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with Procurement management to ensure accurate cost reporting and forecasting.
  • Cost estimating using analogous and parametric methods.
  • Responsible for the Component Item Master for Costing Database, which ensures components are quoted accurately.
  • Perform cost breakdown analysis and report additional costs and unexpected price changes to ensure cost efficiency and budgeting accuracy.
  • Identify potential cost-saving opportunities and provide data to support customer price negotiations.
  • Monitor changes in supplier-reported processes and their impact on costs for existing and new products.

Experience / Education / Skillset's

  • Tier 1 or Tier 2 Automotive Industry Experience - Highly Preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree - Highly Preferred
  • Concentrated Attention to Detail
  • Relationship Development
  • High Aptitude of Computer Capabilities
  • Exceptional Organizational Skills
  • Superior Communication Capabilities; written and verbal
  • Ability to Prepare and Present Concise information to senior management, work groups, and customers

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
